Komani Toastmasters celebrated its first anniversary on Wednesday, 23 June 2021. The club hosted its first speakathon event to mark the auspicious occasion.
Five club members spoke during the speakation.
Vuyiswa Kolo reminded us that failure is part of the journey towards success. Mbulelo Tshofela persuaded us to think about the value of support. Tlou Mashitisho presented a toast to the outgoing club president for bringing Toastmasters to Komani. Pakamani Ndwandwa presented his signature icebreaker speech, “I am Nelson”. Then lastly, Simnikiwe Kakaza showed the beauty of life when we take hands together with mentors.
Ntombekhaya Yalezo delivered the Ah-Counter report.. Nomonde Booi of CIS Toastmasters delivered the Grammarian’s report. Anelisiwe Zumana delivered the Timekeeper’s report. Wame Namponya of Gaborone Toastmasters delivered the General Evaluators report. Toastmaster of the day was Trillionaire Yanga.
Members of District 74 joined us for the evening too. Helping us achieve record attendance for the evening. Angie Kivido (Club Growth Director) and Natasha Ndlela (income Division E Director) were just some of the visiting Toastmasters on the day.
